The Palatine High School Pirate Booster Club (formerly known as the PHS V.I.P. Booster Club) exists to support and enrich the high school experience for our children while they attend Palatine High School. The ways in which we accomplish this task, are many. Through various fundraising efforts each year, we financially contribute to a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular programs and services that directly impact all students. We also support those programs and services by volunteering at various events throughout the school year. In addition, we award scholarships to graduating seniors each year who personify our mission to strengthen the Palatine High School community, as well as the Palatine community at-large.
So consider joining us, whether it is through volunteering your time or graciously accepted monetary donations. Help us to accomplish our main goal-to positively affect each student’s experience at Palatine High School.

What Are Boosters?
Prom is Just a Few Weeks Away!
The Palatine High School Pirate Booster Club sponsors the Post Prom event every year, which is a cruise on Lake Michigan on the Odyssey from Navy Pier. It’s a great time for our prom attendees to continue their memorable evening in a safe and alcohol-free environment.
We are currently in need of 28 chaperones and hope you will consider joining us on Saturday, May 11th. Chaperones will meet at the Westin Hotel to help load students onto luxury motor coaches that will take us to the Odyssey at Navy Pier. Entry onto the Odyssey starts at 12:30AM and we set sail at 1AM, returning to the dock at 3AM. We will then help load students back onto their original assigned Motor Coaches and return to either Palatine High School or The Westin, arriving at these locating around 4-4:15AM on Sunday, May 12th.
Your student doesn’t need to attend the prom or the Odyssey Cruise for you to be a chaperone. This is a great way to get involved, while supporting the PHS students and community. Worried about seeing your son/daughter? There are 3 floors of dancing and an outdoor deck so there is lots of space to move around. Ask a friend or a relative to chaperone with you so you can have some fun yourself!
A chaperone meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 6PM in the Principal’s Conference Room. This meeting will be led by PHS Pirate Booster Club President Debbie Rohrwasser and PHS Vice Principal Mike Alther. We will go over bus assignments and loading instructions, your role as a chaperone, and provide you with instructions on how to handle any situations should they arise.
Please feel free to contact either Debbie or Lisa Vitucci, Post Prom Committee chairs if you have any questions. Please join us!
